Acupuncture for Children

Acupuncture and Acupressure are safe options for treating children by:

• Helping build their body and immune system so they do not miss school. • Relieving pain and inflammation in sports related or gymnastics injuries. • Relaxing symptoms of ADHD, OCD or other chemical imbalance disorders and improving mood and concentration at school. • Improving sleep and helping make children more alert for exams and tests. • Helping to improve acne and hormonal issues and improving self esteem.
• Eliminating or decreasing allergy symptoms or sinus problems.
• Opening your children’s minds to more natural ways of healing and helping them to learn and grow.

In today’s world, children are exposed to many stressors such as poor nutrition, air quality, lack of exercise and more. With parent’s busy lifestyles, it can be difficult to get your children to eat a healthy diet every day. Acupuncture is an effective method to detect an imbalance in children, and to help correct it. Children of all ages can be open to this experience, especially if the bond between parent and child is well established and trusting

Some of the methods that I have used when working with children are Acupressure, Acupuncture, Jaffe Mellor Technique (JMT), cold laser treatments, moxi-bustion, and Iridology. The method of choice will depend on the child’s level of comfort, as I never push children into a treatment method that they are opposed to. After a few times a child’s treatment choice may change as a trusting bond develops between them and I (practitioner).

I have experienced great results working with children suffering from headaches, sinus problems, sleep problems, sports injuries, jaw locking (TMJ), ringing in ears, itchiness, lungs problems, chronic cough, acne, neck or back pain, knee or ankle pain, ADHD, ADD, OCD, depression, anxiety and more.

JMT is a bio-energetic allergy elimination treatment that is non-invasive and effective in treating children with allergic symptoms. (Go to JMT page)
